Well mine sold without the stands for £3K and they are only going to go up, so £3.5 to £4K with the stands is what I would be looking at. The stands were made by Target I think and any old person can get a pair made up, so don't let that be the decider.
I loved the speakers, very fast and powerful sounding with lots of detail and good (not outstanding) imaging. They need very big amps, anyone who tells you different is a fool. I used a few, but the Krell KSA250 (320W into 8 Ohms, 740 into 4) and KAS-2 (180W into 8 Ohms 360 into 4) were the best. You need a minimum of 150W per channel to get them moving. They are not an easy load, being true 4 Ohm speakers.
They have an adjustable bass setting on the back next to the little heat sink, so you can tune them to your room.
One of the best speakers I have ever owned and I would own another pair in a flash.
They are so quick they make you blink with quick drumming and can go really loud without strain. They made SMEagol's (Chris) ears pop when played loud.
PM me if you want to discuss it more.
