Speaker cables that don't fall apart.

Does anyone actually solder the plugs on?
Last two sets of cheapish speaker cables had clamped or crimped ends, neither turned out very well.

For cheapish cables I buy unterminated cable then sort myself, either with solderable bananas or the type with two screws. I use the rear screw to hold the cable in place then fill the tunnel with solder via the front hole and heatshrink to finish.

Or buy a powerful soldering iron. Quick 'n' hot is always best.

Thanks for the replies. I found somewhere that does solder there cables together and not expensive.
