After a recent downgrade of my system I bought some Q Acoustics 3050i. I'm so so impressed with them. I bought them ex demo so slightly cheaper than new. I very much doubt you'll get anything near as good for less than the 500 quid I paid. Plenty of colour options too. I bought mine from Sevenoaks, perfect condition. The below link has some in grey and black for 400 quid.

Recently heard Neat acoustic. They used to come highly recommended with Naim stuff. I heard the SX2, tiny floorstanders. They sit close to the back wall without any issues.

Look for a used pair or the earlier incarnation.

Personall would avoid any speaker that can sound bright, such as B&W, Monitor Audio....

Evening
i’m just in the process of putting my first proper hifi system together after many yrs of sonus type listening
and so far have a Naim nap90.3 / nac92 cd3.5 and a project turntable all bought used
(sorry but I like the Naim sound)
now I need speakers, I have to rely on recommendation as it’s very difficult to go demo any.
i am thinking something like warfdale diamond 12.3 for price and room size
the triangle br03 look good but stock seems hard come by
and I quite like the idea of the wilmslow HB1 but they would be top of the budget
don’t mind used if I can get them posted but would prefer new
Would appreciate any suggestions
thanks

I don't know what to make of this. There are mixed views in the comments section. I know he's selling upgrade kits but he's right to point out the flaws, such as ferric magnetic metal in the binding posts.

Shock horror. Low cost speaker uses low cost parts.

Used to have b&w 300 speakers for some years , a friend still uses them . Certainly the 607s2 is much better and are certainly very enjoyable speakers fir the money .

Personally, if I had a Naim set-up I would automatically look at a used pair of PMC DB1i. They have terrific synergy (that's so important with hi-fi) and the these 'Dinky Box' (DB1) are easy for positioning. Still one of my favourite small standmounts, along with Harbeth P3s and Amphion Argon 1.
