Just got this in the system, sort of forgot about it really. Bought it two months ago but it had a fault and took some time to get serviced and repaired.

Bottom line, I barely used it before it went back. Impressions after having it on for half an hour, it's a stunner, especially when you factor in the cost. At 1/3 of the price of the pre/power combo it's just replaced, it's a bloody bargain.

Shame it's got to go really.

No valves in it that I can see though !

Apologies, nothing revelatory here, but it's a well known brand I new nothing about. I had one years ago but with far less capable speakers if I recall (but I can't really remember !). I can see what the fuss is about now 🙂

Apologies, being a bit obsessed. Anyone have a view on how the current production Sugdens differ/improve on this older model ?

This 20 (?) Year old chugger is something else.

I had a taste of honey with the A21a series 1 and did what comes naturally; I upgraded for more of the good stuff. I bought an A21 Signature which delivers even more grip. The Series 1 was no slouch in that respect.

No, the valve reference was a joke. I am selling it but a friend has first refusal.
