The other Sunday when this thread was started, it was a bit frantic here chez-Jules. But today..... chores done, laundry done, sun is out, doors are open, dogs are snoozing contentedly, Classic FM on the wireless, cup of coffee and the 'Wam. Bliss! :)

Strange Sunday . Have touched base with a few wammers re @Maverick . Family swinging by today for a roast . I have a decent bottle of red to be opened to toast him as he would expect that and while I cook I will play Springsteen one of his faves.

The morning after the night before for me. Sitting reminiscing last nights topics with @freefallrob and his ace family. Debating when might be a safe time to visit the doggy bag cheesecake. All in all content and relaxed. For now!
Great to have you around mate, we all enjoyed it 👍. Eat the cheese cake now! I had some for breakfast, I’m sure @Maverick would have approved.

Strange Sunday indeed. I will be raising a glass or two to Paul this evening also.

What’s happened to @Maverick? Nothing seems to have been posted on the Wam. Edit to say that I have just seen the sad news in the Pub Car Park (that I never visit). So sad I was chatting to him the other day.

Took Blue for a lovely walk around my local park. The sun was shining and we met a number of dog pals. Blue behaved beautifully in the hope of a handful of treats from easily persuaded walkers.

Drove to Bootle to share the women's World Cup with Joanne's dad, in his local, for his birthday. That was nice.

Now, an afternoon of athletics. Jo's mum is coming over for dinner and Jo has baked a nice frangipane tart. I love a tart.

I have discovered a wonderful coffee shop in West Bridgford called Okende who are as fanatical about serving great coffee as some are about setting up their HiFi more so than any other specialist coffee place in Nottingham (even though we have three really great ones in the centre). So I will go there for a morning coffee and sit in the park.

Other than that my Sunday mornings are not any different to any other days. Will have to see if there is any special Sunday morning radio show to listen to. Any ideas anyone?

Radcliffe and Maconie - 6Music 8-10am

Obviously not on proper radio, only DAB or the internet, but still a great start to the day.

Not a quiet Sunday at Rab Towers. I've dug up about twenty patio slabs and pick axed loads of underlying concrete with the aim of making the garden beds by the back door a little wider and lusher. Also, because the skip we hired to clear some other stuff has plenty of room (or did have). Then a few trips to assorted garden centres for endless bags of compost and what feels like about a thousand plants. Looks very decent, but I ache in some very odd places.
