Did you say a bald statement? Re "can't wait to hear them". They're good, but I'd encourage you (anyone) to sit down and listen to them as just plain, ordinary, speakers at a Wam Show rather than "right, let's see if they live up to that billing"! They won't blow anyone's socks off with their thunderous bass or whatever, but maybe that was Tricker's point... no "impressive" (as in prominent) treble, mid, bass, whatever, just a great all round balanced sound.

I'm not new to this game and I never expect anything from audio. I know it is all pretty much subjective but when it comes to speakers well that's an entire world in itself as things vary so much. But when other experienced audiophiles/reviewers say something then even if its not your cup of tea, there is usually something in what they say. Anyway we'll talk about this more when I get to hear them

You're a nice guy, Eddie, just misguided. You don't need to listen to them, you just need to see them and caress them. That should do it.

They sound shit now anyway. The drivers were knackered so I ripped them out and turned them active: I put an Amazon Echo inside each of them.

Just a plug for Nigel’s Posselts and to say that the pictures of them at my house had them being driven by my Border Patrol 8w 300B valve amp and they sounded wonderful.
 

I would be very interested in these Posselts  if I did not already have more sets of speakers than I can feasibly hide from Mrs Fourlegs.

For anyone intrigued by the plaudits attributed to Graham Tricker above, here is the article in which he talks about the Posselts. The article is about efficient speakers suitable for his SET amps some of which produced 8w a side: a 91dB speaker helps.
