Just wondering as to which EL84 delivers the sweetest 'top end' musical presentation. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Marko

AMPEREX gets my vote.

Amperex also produced the EL84s for Hammond, and Hammond branded ones can usually be obtained fairly cheaply.

I'd get Reflector NOS for a tenner a pop or so and not worry about it mate. The overall differences in presentation between tubes are small and in my Linear A not really in the treble region, more midrange, soundstage, tonal richness. I rolled dozens of different kinds...

Is this for the P1 Sig Marko? Then definitely the Russian jobs that I'd imagine James is describing. I can't remember what they're called, let me have a search

I'd be interested to see what you decide Marko.
