These are an enhanced version of the Little Red Monitor. They're in a bigger floorstanding box for improved bass and have a higher quality crossover, including gold screws instead of switches, but use the same driver. I believe they were only made for a few months so there's not many about.
The previous owner had the surrounds redone using foam instead of the original fabic pleats. I understand that the pleated surround could harden, reducing bass, then crack. I've not heard them like that but it seems to be a very professional job and the bass seems pretty good to me so I don't think it's done them any harm, they may well have benefitted from it.
They are in excellent condition for the age, some knocks and scratches but nothing major. I've pictured some examples but they're representative rather than exhaustive.
Happy to sell them because I could do with the money, but may also be interested in a trade involving ATC SCM20 or SCM40, Proac EBS or Studio 3, or possibly KEF Model 3~2 or 4~2.
