Technics SL-Q202 semi automatic in excellent refurbished condition.
This is the second Q202 that I refurbished and its been used for only a few hours since.
The deck is in excellent condition with only one noticeable scratch which i have highlighted. The lid has no cracks and is bright and clear.
Incredibly easy to use with an excellent semi automatic mechanism this would make a great starter deck or an ideal deck for a second system. This model is not plagued with the fragile cueing mechanism that afflicted earlier models such as the 1400 mk2. The auto return mech is also much smoother than earlier Technics.
This range was pretty much their last consumer deck that retained the signature Technics features of Direct Drive, quartz lock, cast alloy chassis, non-resonant base and effective suspension.
After this model the quality was really stripped out of their consumer record decks becoming lightweight plastic shadows of their predecessors.
Sound quality wise it is on par with the 1300/1500 models I refurbished.
Details and many pictures of the refurbishment can be found in the following link.
