i dont suppose the price has anything to do with it.10 hours use over 2 years at a dealer and never sold...I'd be worried about their sound too!
+1, probably the worst looking speakers I have seen, if they do sound good I still would not want them.Well they sure aint pretty so hopefully they sound good!
I`m very suprised to read he was banned from here, over the last 4/5years I have purchased 3 items from him and every one was as he described no problems whatsoever and shipped next day, I also found him a really nice guy to deal with :dunno: but getting banned from the wam, not good!! but I must agree the speakers are pig ugly and over priced for an obscure make no one has heard of.....Its an interesting seller too. Banned on the Wam for threatening people I seem to remember.
Is it just me, or does the world of hifi seem to actively attract nutters? Its an interesting seller too. Banned on the Wam for threatening people I seem to remember.
The money attracts nutters. Is it just me, or does the world of hifi seem to actively attract nutters?
he still sells under the name of weald audio but Avalon would appear to be eBay shopIndeed, he sold me and a friend some duff stuff some time ago under his previous to previous name of Weald Audio. He may have changed his ways, but I suspect not.
However here is an article that back's up what the listing says:http://www.mainstreet.com/article/smart-spending/technology/3-new-gadgets-music-snobsThe original price was Euro 5,000, somewhat different to what the ad say's. :x
They must be audio special aluminium, as at work we do the same sort of castings and they are nowhere near this sort of pricing, excluding 100% dealer and importer mark-up.As the original importer the retail price was £16K. The article price is wrong. They are made of layers of cast aluminium and the crossover was designed with Mundorf.
