Hi all,

I have a Arendal 1723 S2 that I have owned form new, since August 21,and have been happy with the bass content on movies, but for music,a bit of a thump machine, and whilst musical, not much in the way of definition,or so I thought.
My main speakers are Linn k320'a and have superb and musical bass down to 55hz,and got the Arendal to do the bass from 54hz down, ever since the dealer installed the sub,the bass for music lost its definition, what I hadn't realized until a couple of months ago,the speakers had been moved by the installing dealer,so have been in the wrong place by about 20mm,a quick couple of moves outwards, and the bass was even and musical with better definition again, but not what I expected from a sub which now coats £2k,since that move I was fairly happy with the bass I was getting, happy days.

Anyway I was rummaging through my hifi bits cupboard last week, and found a set of isoacoustics gaia footers that I forgot I had, dooh, installed them earlier today, and have just put the Lector CD player on and left running for half an hour, came back into the room, and bugger me,defined musical bass right down to now include the sub, marvellous, and with more to come,as the gaia's settle.

Now the speakers and sub are working in total harmony, the musical picture is complete.
And to think I nearly sold the sub several times over, now I don't have to.
Where's the reggae,neighbourhood alert for Essex CM15 😃

Another satisfied Gaia owner. These feet seem to garner (almost) universal praise, I'm still waiting to try mine out under my speakers, a job for next weekend. Just for clarity, did you put the Gaias on the sub or on the main speakers?

Perhaps the response of sub and speakers is overlapping too much.

How have you set the BASS ROLL-ON on the speakers?
According to the manual there are 3 options:

30 Hz*, 60 Hz, 98 Hz

Gaia's went under the Sub,but will look into getting some for the speakers as well, when funds allow,of course.
TBH is wasn't expecting much of an upgrade,as my floors are solid concrete with underlay and oak on top,but the difference in bass clarity is staggering.

Cool! You could maybe also try setting the sub to 50Hz.

When I set the sub crossover at 50hz bass output seem reduced, like there was a hole in the bass,as I slowly went up-to 60hz in 1hz increments the bass became fuller with each step upwards, now I have heard the difference, should be easy to set up by ear.
Now I can hear what right is,i can't believe for the last 14 months I was listening to 6hz of overhang, which is now Instantly obvious.
In my defence,i listen at very low levels,so it wasn't that obvious, until I heard how it should sound,as my mum always says 'if you had a brain, you'd be dangerous' is applicable methinks🙃😲
