Not sure if this is in the right place but after my experience today, and since rediscovering this place, I felt I had to convey my thanks and thoughts...

I met two wammers today, Graham and Mick, on seperate business and must say it was an absolute pleasure. graham kindly donated his unwanted Quad speakers to me, an act of generosity that I've never experienced before, it made me feel humble and a little sad that I could not, at the moment, reciprocate such generosity to a fellow human. once again Graham thank you and be assured they will well looked after and returned to full working order.

I also met Mick from whom I bought a Systemdek, once again the members of this forum showed their willingness to help and assist people who want to listen to music on a decent setup. Mick it was a pleasure to meet you and I will be in touch with the addresses of the S/H record shops.

Todays experience has made me want to help myself, nowmy knowledge of hifi is limited but I do know a lot abou bicycles and cameras so if anyone needs a hand please pm me and if I know the answer, can find it out or help in other ways (I have boxes of cycle parts and bits and pieces of photography kit) then I will.

Thank you wammers for lifting my spirits and helping me put together a system to enjoy music on again.

Things like that are what make the Wam so special :^
'Tis a lovely place indeed. It's always good to meet up with other wammers. Most are quite super. Even pmac is okay when you get to know him.

To really feel part of the community you have to poke Stroppy with a stick now and then. 'Tis good entertainment when the forum is quiet.

Or, start a cable thread. :^

Not had a cable thread for a while:bulb:

Best of all, look through the 2ch questions, find the most common subject and start a new thread asking the same question. The 'mardy wammer' can be hilarious.

You say you know a lot about cameras! So what was the camera that was used on the first moon landing?
That would be too much hassle to research :run:
