I have a Topping E30 mk ii, I love it. So much grunt, imaging and for me sounds right.

One place I worked at had an imaginary bloke called Derek Topping. At a previous place he was called Paul Johnson but at the subsequent employment there really was a Paul Johnson so I invented Mr Derek Topping. When a bloke with a thick Indian accent called saying "May I know the name of the person responsible for your electricity bills" you always said it was Derek Topping. Then the same poor chap would call later asking to talk to Derek Topping, and of course he'd always be "in a meeting" or "out of the office" so you'd offer to leave a note for him. It was a good way of fobbing off the cold callers without having to be rude to them.

Yes I have a VX1 that my daughter has claimed, nice bit of kit. I also have a D10s that acts as a USB/Spidf converter between my Raspberry Pi and DAC.

Several bits for me

DX3 Pro - dac/headphone amp
D50s - dac
P50 Psu which can drive both the D50s and the DX3 Pro at the same time
D10a - also used primarily for USB to SPDIF but still used as a DAC now and again
L30 - little headphone amp which I'm actually not that keen on.

You're right, I should have used something like enthusiastic in the bass region. If all the DAC's I own the E30 ii is the most full sounding without sacrificing bass clarity.

Not tried a Topping, I have a Soncoz which gets some good reviews but I prefer my Jolida to be honest.

I have a Topping E30 mk ii, I love it. So much grunt, imaging and for me sounds right.

i also have one of these, currently laying fallow, for my office system. It’s great little DAC, exceptional value, and with subtle filters for tweaking. Not much as a pre but that’s secondary to its bits to notes capabilities



paired with th eiLoud MTM active DSP monitors, fed with SBT, it makes for accurate and enjoyable listening. Punches well above its prise point, and deffo not a Chinese toy hi fi component

D10S owner here, solely as a DDC. Must say it's a great piece of kit, especially for the price. Looks very decent as well.

Bought a D10s recently, mainly used as a USB to SPDIF converter but also as a backup DAC. Performs well in both roles especially considering the price. And I like the display, bargain.
