Not sure whether it is appropriate to list in this forum but here goes.

I have been using this router for the last 2 years primarily to stream wirelessly from the modem located at the front of my house to my music system and other devices located at the rear. It has worked perfectly at all times but the provision last week of a new VM Hub 5 as part of a 1Gig fibre package has proved similarly capable of reaching the various devices located throughout my property and so there seems little point in keeping this one.

I have little technical knowledge of these things but lifted the following from the TP-LINK website:-
  • The Fastest VDSL Modem Router – The Archer VR2800 runs at 2167Mbps on 5GHz and 600Mbps on 2.4GHz
  • 1GHz dual-core CPU – Broadcom 1GHz dual-core CPU with two co-processors keeps VR2800 running at peak performance
  • TP-Link Tether App – TP-Link Tether app helps you set up and manage your Archer VR2800 from any Android or iOS device.
This one is complete with original double box, power supply, RJ11 DSL cable and external splitter but is without instructions or ethernet cable. It is in very good condition with no dents or scratches, however, there are some minor paint speckles on the top of the router and power supply resulting from me painting the ceiling above the router using a roller . Please see the attached photo.

I have just checked online and these are currently retailing at £149.99.

Asking £60 delivered in the UK. I will perform a factory reset before posting.

I own one of these myself!

Purchased after extensive online research. For instance, I didn't know that routers are either based on an Intel chipset or Broadcom. Broadcom chipsets apparently result in lower noise transmission and jitter and are more suited to hifi music applications!

All I know is, I've had mine as part of my music network for three years and it has operated trouble-free and offers multiple configurations. I use mine on 5G from a BT Infinity II source.

Good luck with the sale. An absolute bargain at £60.

I simply connected the ISP modem at the front of my house to one of the four gigabit ports on the router with an ethernet cable and used wifi to stream to a wifi extender located next to my rack at the rear of the house. I connected the Melco to the wifi extender using an ethernet cable.

I never had any problems with dropouts etc and still use the new VM Hub 5 to stream in exactly the same way.

If desired Tp-Link router was easily able to stream directly to my Aries G2 using wifi.
