Stuart Hi, the SRP is Euros 8027 which includes tax and the four capsule microphone, the mic alone costa E500 and you only really need to use one once or if you change the room around move etc.

The Amethyst is a full function preamp, phono stage, A/D and D/A it can also implement your loudspeakers crossovers through DSP.

Trinnov have included five presets in the new software, and changed the algorithm slightly to provide slightly more bass than 'flat'.

That would coincide with my experience where some users found the flat frequency response a little bass shy .
