Hi Everyone

Here is another of my turntables which has to go- it does take up quite a lot of space!

I initially built the basic turntable several years ago and updated it over a lengthy period of time:

The two part plinth system is made from solid granite- a local stonemason made it for me.
The turntable sits on another granite plinth as can be seen in the photos
The bearing housing/bearing/sub platter and outer (metal) platter are from a Linn Axis
The DC motor, motor pod and controller are from Analogue Alchemy- the company who supplied my main turntable. The separate controller allows for speed change (33 and 45) at the flick of a switch.
The top acrylic platter is also from Analogue Alchemy- it's a very substantial piece of work and is 27mm deep.
The belt is an OL Upgrade belt (not cheap) and the motor pulley is also from OL
The arm is a highly modified Project Unipivot- 12" carbon fibre arm tube, teflon coated silver wire and high quality gold phono plugs- the mods were documented by me in Lenco Heaven if you are interested. Performance is as good as it looks!!
As can be seen from the photos the deck is fully adjustable for height and levelling.
The whole unit is mounted on a large MDF slab, finished to match the rest of the deck.

Here are the photos:

I'm asking £550.00 for this (Paypal F and F please). It is incredibly heavy so collection only I'm afraid. I am based just south of Stockport in Cheshire.
Any questions- please PM me.

Hope you like what you see.

Cheers
Chris

I think I got the "ugly" sister of this and it's gorgeous. Gent to deal with to boot.

This bamboo turntable and arm was another 'experiment.' If anyone is interested, I could let it go for £300.00. If there is interest, I'll post more photos.

Cheers

Hi All
As promised, here are photos of the bamboo plinthed deck. Please note that carriage would be extra (it's a very heavy 'un!) and the Ortofon MC10 Super isn't included in the sale
Cheers
Chris

Both excellent value for money for unique turntables. But with my trusty, now 50 years with me, Thorens 124 I don't need one.

“Need”?

What’s that got to do with buying more turntables?!

Hi Everyone

A potential buyer for the bamboo-based turntable asked whether I could fit my bamboo arm to it so he could see which arm he preferred. I've also found a bamboo motor pod I made a while ago. I think it complements the deck better than the black one....

Best Wishes
Chris
