upnp app + ipad + sennheiser headphones + NAS = Audio Happiness

I downloaded this APP and spent the evening amazed why i didnt find out about this before.

I never once used my ipad mini to listen to music, its only 16gd but this app lets you use your NAS to play through your ipad.

They sound from this combo is the best ive ever heard in my house. The amount of extra detail in music i thought i was well use to is amazing.

How are you listening to you Senns Robert? Are you outputting to a DAC/Can amp or is this straight off t' i-Pads H/Phone output?

I've got the same functionality using UPnP/DLNA server from my NAS & using the "Bubble UPnP" controller App for Android devices to 'push' music over my LAN as well as allowing portable player functionality. But prior to changing from SBT to my current UPnP Streamer/Renderer + nooo NAS......I did the same thing using LMS as a server & Squeeze player for Android using my old ReadyNas Duo.

Surely you already had the ability to run Squeezebox Emulations on your Apple/i-OS devices to do t' same thing. I thought that i-Peng offered t' ability ter do this, if not I'm sure there must be a third party Squeeze Player Emulation for i-OS.

Or are you saying that streaming from your NAS's UPnP server to your i-pad is giving superior SQ to other emulations + your SBT?

I use Squeezeplay, this is a Squeezepad add on, means I can listen to all the music on my Nas drive through my IPad's headphone output. This includes all lossless files. Gives me the freedom to access my music anywhere in the house (and garden) and the quality is excellent. Best app I ever got.
