Using a Mutec +3 USB Reclocker

@orbscure well this is a little difficult and please just accept this on face value and as my opinion . The Mutec has had a very good effect on my passive system and despite the delay in switching from one to the other and that old chestnut poor audio memory the music is improved by the Mutec enough that I will not be moving it out of the system . Main things I notice is that notes stop and start better making the sound more believable and just real . You are convinced that these sounds now come from rel voices and real instruments . There is also a sense of ease or relaxation to the music as if it is just playing rather than trying too hard this adds to the feeling of listening to real people which is the illusion you want to create and maintain in my view. Electronic music seems to benefit the most with synth sounds being deeper and having more texture to them , in some case they sound quite different than with out the Mutec.

No thought here is the rub while I am happy with the Mutec and what it adds to the music I get the very distinct feeling that the Audio GD adds more to the active system . Not that it sounds better I just get the feeling that the uplift and change using the Audio GD is more . I really enjoy this system more than I did before and I thought it sounded brilliant then . I think most who heard it at the Wam Show were quite impressed as well and I did not get any complaints or even suggestions at areas it was not good in . I know this system sounds much better now than at the Show but next show I will certainly be taking a different system as everyone wants to hear something different .
