It's just an annoying feature of Digital.! Try playing Digital Radio in one room and Analogue Radio in another....!! Big Echo!

You can get amps that will put a (variable) delay in to match, but...is it worth it?

just use the amp?

I have a TV upstairs that uses Freeview and one downstairs that runs on Freesat. There is a time delay ,echo like, between the two systems. Is there any possibility that both of these systems are present in your TV.Maybe one from a freeview tuner within the TV and another feed perhaps from a Freesat recorder connected to the TV.If so then the output you have connected to on the TV may be from a different source than the one driving the TV speaker.

Just a thought,if it's not that then I give up.

Pete.

Am i missing something but you can't use the tv volume and the amp volume or it sounds like an echo because of the delay:?
you dont have a centre speaker ?

mine does the same thing, but i dont see the point in having an av amp, only to use the tv speakers, its utterly pointless.

I use a cheapish pair of active speakers and use the phono output from the TV.

If I want to use the full hifi system I use the optical digital output from the TV into the DAC.

No delay on either

If you're using the digital output from the TV and neither amp nor TV are doing any surround sound processing you should be OK. That's what I do (TV TOSLINK out into DAC then HI-FI) and there's no noticeable delay.

Is there a delay you can configure to compensate in the TV, perhaps?
