I am waiting for 2 couriers today, a CD player and a power amp. Daren't go to the toilet, or make any noise, otherwise they will tiptoe up to the front door, post the "missed you" card and run away. So.

Waiting.

And tracking; no update since yesterday. Hmm.

Waiting.

My 10 year old grandson has been waiting for Lego. Oh, the anticipation!

It arrived yesterday. Oh, the excitement!

There was a major piece missing. Oh, the tears. Amazon are sending out a replacement, but still.

So both of us;

Waiting.

I hope I don't cry.

Waiting.

Go on spill the beans, what new shiny is due?

Will the CD sound better than the current digital sources?

I'm a delivery courier and can see no point in sneaking up to the door to post a card when you have the goods on the van.

Not all couriers suffer from a lack of customer care. I was tracking an item being couriered by FEDEX, being sent from the States. I tracked the thing all the way to Canada, every time it was loaded onto a van/lorry/plane/depot it was logged. It became apparent that this thing was rapidly heading to Barrow, Alaska rather than Barrow, Cumbria. So I rand the FEDEX depot up and the chap went and fetched my parcel, re directed it and i saw that re-direction on the tracking system ten minutes later. It was popped on the next flight out of Canada and got here with no overall delay.Tip top service in terms of recovering a cock up I thought

On the other hand it took just as long to get from London to Cumbria as it did to get to London from the sender in the USA, via Canada!

Villains shouldn't wear tracking collars, they should just be tracked by FEDEX:D

I'm waiting too. Bought stuff on friday and paid for next day delivery, shows on courier website as being collected Saturday for next day delivery and then says "due for delivery wednesday 7th August". WTF?

And sent to Alaska!

George; Consonance Orfeo CDP, don't yet know if it will sound better than Meridian 200 transport + Teradak Chameleon, but it will be prettier! Vincent SP993 power amp, 200w/8ohm, 400/4, 700/2 SS muscle. A bit of a change from 18w SET!

I'm waiting for a refund, having paid for something a month ago, never receiving it, being offered a refund and never receiving that either. Still, I do allow myself to go to the toilet to relieve the tension.

FedEx are the only courier that never gave up trying to deliver to me when day after day I missed them, most won't come back after the first attempt and you have to collect. I did suggest to fedex I collect but they insisted they would get it to me and they did.

One down one to go. The Vincent is up and running, treble a little splashy at the moment, hopefully it will settle down. Hopefully. It is bigger and heavier than the pictures suggest, it is really deep front to back. Oh, and the bass I lost has reappeared, even with little speakers. It will need careful matching. I was thinking of TQWT, but that might be overkill.

Just waiting for the CDP now.

Vincent makes nice amps so I suspect it will settle down and then the fun begins. And the CD is no slouch as well....

Hopefully it all gells well and then the anticipation is met and you have a lot of the 'I wonder what it will do to this CD......' moments.
