This suggests it is the hotel’s choice. But I guess in our case that is a Britannia Hotel HO decision, not the local managers? A guaranteed income must be attractive to any hotel owner.
You look to be just about the only one thinking that from what I've read so farErrrr…. To be honest guys….I thought it a bit of a sh!t hole. And the rooms weren’t at all good for hifi.
I think the wam show deserves better imo

Did you ever exhibit at Scalford mate? Tbh I doubt that many hotels would even consider letting us lot go in and dismantle them for a weekend. Higher end ones even less. Then there's the cost of an upmarket venue. Exhibitors aren't selling or marketing or putting expenses claims in on tax returns like in trade shows. It is for the craic and always has been. The place is run down, needs some money spending on it. Sorry just my opinion guys.
Nah - the buggers would insist we all wore jackets & ties -there's no way that would workI 2nd @tackleberry 's suggestion of The Savoy. I'd make my sorry ass to that.
I haven't been since it was refurbished and I miss the cocktails in The American Bar.
Well it will have money spent on it by the Home office and a guaranteed income all year round . If I was in their ( Britannia ) position then its a no brainer .The place is run down, needs some money spending on it. Sorry just my opinion guys.
Spoilsport. I had visions of wondering around with a very Dry Martini being rather louche.Nah - the buggers would insist we all wore jackets & ties -there's no way that would work
All the rooms at Stoke are more suitable than your cellar . Stop being a bloody Hyacinth BouquetI think what has been organised is absolutely brilliant. It’s not about that.
I appreciate ricks comments and understand.
It’s not for me then.
