Been doing that Vulcan Mind Probe Thing again Barry.Thats handy I've just bought this on vinyl
The ultimate listen is... vinyl... in mono.Cannot join in this week, no record player to play my Universal Japan 200g pressing of this and if you're going to listen on CD or MP3 :clout:GET IT ON FECKING VINYL and you'll fall in love with Nico even more
The only bit I don't get about this WAC is that MIB likes it! Surely makes it a collectors item no?Classic bit of lo-fi drone!Only bits I don't get on with are those with Nico singing lead. She's just trying too hard and not really succeeding!
Whose is the extra signature?
Mibby's my just WAC bitchThe only bit I don't get about this WAC is that MIB likes it! Surely makes it a collectors item no?
She sang on it at Warhol's insistence :roll:Only bits I don't get on with are those with Nico singing lead. She's just trying too hard and not really succeeding!
"Piper at the Gates of Yawn" should not be in that hallowed list :nup:Great album. 1967 was quite a year for album releases! Sgt. Pepper, VU & Nico, Forever Changes, Are You Experienced, Songs of Leonard Cohen, Surrealistic Pillow, The Doors, Procul Harem, Their Satanic Majesties Request, Piper at the Gates of Dawn....
Both are hummers, although '2000 Light Years from Home" has a certain charm.Better that than Their Satanic Majesties vomit...
Warhol put the front money up and errr thats about it.Both are hummers, although '2000 Light Years from Home" has a certain charm.Back on topic, just wondering what people make of the production on the VU's 1st album.
Warhol is credited as Producer (god knows what that actually entailed!).
Exactly.Warhol put the front money up and errr thats about it.Its low fi stuff, which has a lot to do with its appeal.
Check out the mono.
