Many years ago I had WD40 analysed for a project I was working on…..it has two components
Paraffin and Wool Fat (Lanolin) …..so would you clean your vinyl with paraffin and leave a deposit of fat in the grooves 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Nope it’s a very simple combination ….paraffin is the ‘carrier’ solvent and wool fat acts as both a lube and water dispersion agent.
