Carpenters : The Singles 1969-1973 Vinyl LP, recorded in those years at A&M Studio Los Angeles released on A&M November 1973 producers Richard & Karen Carpenter, Jack Daugherty.
Having micro manipulated my Hana ML VTF I am genuinely re-examining/re-evaluating my LP collection Wenge1 triggered me to go to this album I bought on release, my memories of yet another musical tour de force The Singles effectively a compilation album Richard did not like the term "greatest hits" that once topped charts world wide. Strangely, seemingly not as popular today as they once were The Carpenters especially the unique voice of Karen Carpenter formed a significant musical background to the younger me.
As Wenge1 said Karen had & I belive a unique "Beautiful voice" that was well recorded & produced aided by Ricard & the other performers/musicians.
When Karen died though apparently on the good side after years of Anorexia weakening her body it gave out, we the world & her close ones were denied further musical joy. She left a considerable catalogue of work.
