I'm not interested whether X might sound better than Y, I'd just like to know which brand. Speaker cable is normally on show so I would imagine looks played a big part in your choice. Oh and did SWMBO make any comment :D

I use Nordost Flatline Gold II as I could hide it under the carpet.

System 1: Chord Odyssey 4 (got free with some speakers)

System 2: DIY from 3-phase flex (rescued from work skip.)

[h=1]Van Damme 2 x 4.00mm Hi-Fi speaker twin interconnect cable / 7M[/h] by Van Damme

61pwYEH8FWL._SL1000_.jpg
Self assembled with sexxy Nakamichi Zplug/BFA's + all copper solderless/screwfix spades fer amp end + input end of each of my two pairs of jumpers for each triwirable speaker. Really easy to do a nice neat job with super strong connections. :^ I had thought to redo t' terminations at some point for the links at least as I didn't have any correct size/shrink ratio heatshrink to hand when I did em.....although I had a set of colour coded soft silicon rubber plug boots which are an equally smart looking alternative for my main runs. TBH the links look v smart too even sans heatshrink.

Great value for self build.......I must also mention that Sodders & Bmtell (Paul & Mark @ Purite North) offer great built up prices for these cables & everyone who's bought a set seems as pleased as punch. http://www.puritenorth.co.uk/

The stuff sold by World Audio Design some years ago. Branded Sonix IIRC.

Its 2.5mm stranded copper in a PE insulator, simple fig 8 construction. Posh 79 strand in other words. Cost £2pm IIRC.

I use this since it was sold in both red and blue which makes life easier wrt channel identification when the cables fall behind a busy cabinet.

For interconnects I used to roll my own but now use Gotham.

Just nice quality wire and connectors, very well made and excellent VFM. I would cost me the same or more to build them, so I don't :)

I did use some Cable Talk Concert 4 once upon a time, dark red and about 15mm diameter, which led someone to ask whether my speakers were water cooled :D

Atlas 2.1 I think it's called. Expensive, about £10.00 per meter IIRC. Makes no difference at all to the sound.
