As an experienced Audiophile Fool, I have read the AUP, and other meaningful threads on the pros and cons of system improvements. Apart from replacing the air between my ears, what's the best bit of Foo I can squander my hard earned cash on, to get absolutely no improvement whatsoever.

:peace:

Cables, whatever the price, at least do something (even if they all do the same thing.) Likewise equipment supports. If you really want to waste your money, look at Machina Dynamica, Shatki Stones, Shun Mook and all of the products that claim acoustic room treatment from devices smaller than a fag packet.

Yup! I think this is a nice touch: "The original glass bottles for Brilliant Pebbles have been replaced by clear zip lock bags, which have a more linear response than glass".Does anyone really fall for this nonsense?
they are still in business during a recession so, apparently, yes.

Nothing to do with the cost of a zip-lock bag compared to a glass jar, of course. I expect they sell mostly to Americans.

Me! . Though I am sure I am not the only one to spend more than I needed to on a Pair of Cables. . (Mods, the mention of Cables is only an example of my Foo-Pas*). Please do not delete, or lock this thread :upgrade: .

*Foo-Pas, a new word I've just invented for people like me who fall for all this crap :td: .

The Magic of Mpingo, is that a new cartoon series?. :?
I use three mpingo disks under my Gyrodek's feet to stop it damaging the wooden equipment stand. Works great. I don't know about the sound vs other wooden disks mind you.

Expensive air conditioning to maintain stable air temperature & humidity, to allow speed consistency of those precious sound waves? Make sure the air flow is gentle though as you wouldn't want the sound to get blown away.

Plastic surgery on yer lug holes to get the optimum shape and size? Get them gold plated too I reckon, that would look sharp.

I am currently working on the ultimate foo...

Foo sherbet. Simply sprinkle over your system components for instant zip and sparkle. Works especially well on anything that gets warm in use - can get a bit sticky, but this is normal.

Also works wonders when applied to dry sounding LPs by adding a real fizz.

Haven't got to pricing yet, but I thought I'd just stick to the foo industry standard and start by multiplying my actual costs by 1000, adding the statutory 500% foo tax, then multiplying by a number that appeared to me in a dream.

For ease of use, Foo Sherbet comes in a handy yellow tube with black liquorice applicator. You can't go wrong - it's even non-toxic and perfectly safe for children.

Some very positive reviews on the way (as soon as I have agreed bribes with prominent forum members).

Get in.

Martin

Lovely stuff. I carry a piece in my pocket.

Hard to get easily as it comes (mainly) from a mountain in deepest Afghanistan that's miles from anywhere. Been mined there for over 2000 years!

Never tried it on hi-fi though!
