Which amplifier for Boenicke speakers ?

I’ve read reviews of Boenicke speakers which suggest that they can be fussy about the amplifiers they are partnered with

i know they are current hungry so that isn’t my question. My question is about synergy. One review I read suggested that they don’t sound so great with ATC amps (even though they are known for grip) but do seem to like Trilogy

I‘d like to hear from Boenicke owners about which amps they either own, or even better, what they tried and ruled out (and why)?

I used to have the W8SE & if I remember I was using them with W4S STP-SE Stage 2 pre & their SX-1000R monos & it sounded very good.

I use Mytek Brooklyn Amp. One works fine, though I have two and using both set to mono is great.

I currently have W5s (standard version) in my own home. I’m using an ATC SIACD .

That would be exciting but the W5s are in a second system in a smaller room so I suspect the valve boxes would take up quite a bit of space. Not to mention the price?
Lovely idea though as I have an Icon Audio phono stage in my main system !

I bet when the Boenickes are in Hifi shows they are powered by silly money amps to show them off?

I swap amps and speakers around every now and again (which causes my wife’s head to move from left to right and back left again) the little Atom sounds really good with them. The Accuphase gives more body and depth.

I thought they were around £2k? Only read one review which was very good. They also do some actives, never heard them myself. But would consider if I ever change mine.

The P1 power amplifier is well-priced vs their speakers. It’s Class D.

Musical Fidelity A5 integrated with full Level 2 mods by John Sampson, bigger op amps etc plus 3x transformers to replace the single one. Combo will be at the Stoke show with my W8s, come along to room 123 and make a request

I have tried powerful Class D amp and for me, some fellow wammers and daughter (trained classical singer) didn't sound as musical in my room. My 2p worth.
