I was expecting to find War of the Worlds on that list as it did seem to be very popular (I never bought it though) but maybe it's a late 70s album?

2 C'mon you know - Liam Gallagher
3 Wet Leg - Wet Leg
4 Will of the people - Muse
5 Skinty Fia - Fontaines DC
6 Rumours - Fleetwood Mac
7 The Overload - Yard Act
8 Last Night in the Bittersweet - Paolo Nutini
9 The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
10 AM - Arctic Monkeys
11 Life is Yours - Foals
12 Nevermind - Nirvana
13 The Risa and Fall of Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
14 The Tipping Point - Tears for Fears
15 Unlimited Love - The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
I don't believe any of these are 1980s albums.

Not just one day but over many days. This is the original comment "Ahh, I see.
Though surely it's just who happens to turn up on the day.

Possibly due to many an audiophile have had their fingers burnt over poor condition second hand records Jack,so they stear clearYou cant give CDs away at record fairs - same with classical vinyl. Most of the dealers dont even bring either as they are not worth the table space.
Best sellers are 80s vinyl, 'Rumours' continues to outsell any other single title, Elvis and R'nRoll are dead, Kate Bush is hotcakes since the hit U.S. series 'Stranger Days', Prog is OK, 7" inch singles quiet, 12" singles holding their own (DJ interest), Film soundtracks soso, Beatles ever popular (dependent on condition), Floyd, Bowie, Cure, reggae strong, jazz bit quiet unless you have an enthusiast in front of you.
However, the record buying public are not Audiophiles; and conversely Audiophiles are not record buyers.

To get my granddaughter involved I have her going through the ritual of cleaning a record on the ultrasonic cleaner and project vacuum machineCollecting records (vinyl or cd) is a great hobby in the most wonderful sense of the world. Although it is shifting from physical stores to online stores, I regularly go to good used record shops and keep that old habit alive.
But buying online could also be exciting because you can search deeper for what you want and for what you didn’t know that existed.
In music listening, the physical aspect is very important to me and it is good to see my young son be already involved in it, being surrounded by records, the covers art ... the whole ritual.
I couldn’t see all that happening if I were only used a streamer/ hard drive...
Really, until fairly recently I had never heard of it, I did try after seeing on the "what are you listening to now" post but not my thing at all. There are a few 80s bands I quite such as Talking Heads and later Talk Talk but nothing compares to the 70s, just looking at 1970, so many great albums.Yazoo ,, upstairs at Erics
May I ask what it's called? I like his stuff but he releases a lot and I can't keep upNils Frahm new album is over 3 hours, how many lps is that?
It’s called ‘Music for Animals’. 😎May I ask what it's called? I like his stuff but he releases a lot and I can't keep up. I really like his dub album called 2x1=4 with F.S.Blumm.
I'd recommend Ludovico Einaudi, perhaps more classical but similar, beautiful piano music.
