i would really love to hear some of the modern cabasse stuff. because i think their classic models from 70s and 80s are just so good. i find them so much better than any snell or audio note stuff. when i had AN-J for a while, i briefly compared them with cabasse M4 sloop and it was very very embarassing for AN. possibly the best conventional (non-horn loaded) vintage speakers for tubes i can think of. i'm wondering how much of that sweet, seducing sound is left in the modern offerings.

plus their vintage 12" and 15" have the best tone i've ever heard this side of altecs.

Yeah. Always wanted some of the actives (taller than these)..

Still, last time I saw some of these passive ones sell they made GBP 6k on German eBay - a little bit expensive here I think!

But beautiful speakers (in my opinion).. Supposed to be super holographic too.

Haha.. there's a black sharpie on the floor in picture 3. Has someone been colouring in the black bases? Caught out!

Also, remind me when I build a dedicated listening room to put in some fake windows and some blue up-lighters on the other side of them..

A great room-within-a-room idea for isolation.
