Great track! I first heard 'Celestial Blues' as the opening track on Steve Pickton's "Back to Black" compilation from 2005.

Steve Pickton wrote/recorded superb electronic music back in the 90's as Phenomyna and Stasis, amongst other aliases.

A lot of his work had a funky feel to it; hardly surprising as he was a notorious crate digger.

The other picks on the "Back to Black" compilation are a mixture Jazz, Funk, Soul, Gospel and Reggae and are well worth checking out.

Wish I'd picked up the vinyl at the time and not the CD

Andy Bey's a great jazz vocalist and guested on many others' recordings. This is my favourite.

That sure is funky. I'll have to find some more of his stuff. :^

I love that 73' Bill Withers set, the drummer is off his face.
