In modern term this might be just about ok but the OP was considering putting a Kandid on an Akito 1 not even the British built one.
The Akurate LP12 combo that used to be sold by Linn featured a Krystal and an Akito 3. An Akito 3 compared to the OP's Akito 1 is similar to a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette to a 1973 Chevette. In other words, completely different. A good Akito 1 is a little better than a Basik Plus, but half of the former have bad bearings. The Akito 3 is in the same league with an Ittok LVII.
On top of that I never sold an Akurate LP12. The money was better spent on getting a Majik LP12 and putting in a Radikal. I have actually sold two of that configuration within the last month.
