Just got an email from Linn praising the new Selekt with Organik and a slightly nicer case.
At the end it states:

Calling all Akurate DS and DSM owners

With Selekt DSM: Edition Hub featuring Organik DAC now outperforming them in every imaginable way, it is time to bid a fond farewell to Akurate DS and DSM – after a glittering fourteen-year tenure at the core of our digital range.

Speak to your Linn specialist retailer to discover how they can help you to trade-in, and trade-up, to Selekt DSM: Edition Hub featuring our flagship Organik DAC architecture!

This also goes for the Akurate Exaktboxes 6 and 10. They are no longer on the Linn website.

Looks like Akurate Exaktbox-I and Akubariks are all that's left of the Akurate range.
Yes, looks like the journey's over. I guess that there is a slight glimmer of hope that the two remaining products are there because one day they may just get Organik. I've found no hint of how much this new Selekt will cost - let alone work out how much it will cost when loaded. I would require the equivalent of my Exaktbox-i fitting within the Selekt Organik and I have a suspicion that this would be a prohibitively expensive move - considering that my ASH is probably worth £1k tops. An AEB-i upgrade to Organik would be a potentially attractive move though as it would keep all of my boxes looking the same (ASH, Ak Radikal, Uphorik, AEB-i). The ASH is not mentioned in the promotional email that I received. BTW one of my main gripes about Kazoo is the white on black presentation - I cant say that I'm fond of it here either (at least it is scaleable here).

That is disappointing since I invested in a Ahub and AEB10 not that long ago. I really was hoping they would be supported by Organik eventually. Not sure how to proceed now. I know how Linn expects me to proceed, but kinda in a loved lost place right now. Hmm.

Keep what you have for now. When the time comes, Trade in the Ahub and get the Klimax DSM/3 Hub. That would be after it includes Utopik. Then your system would blow away all this Selekt kit.

I’ll keep what I have now. A Selekt with dual mono Organik cards and a line module is approximately 220 kSEK or 20 k€. Just a tad too steep.
It is a lot, I must agree, but as a halfway house to the new Klimax DSM I suppose it’s about right assuming it delivers as we would expect.

I was still trying to work out the most economical way to buy a used old-style Klimax DSM and pay for the Organik insides!

My route I chose was KDS/Katalyst then stump up for the £5k upgrade...

worked out great as this 'new' streamer is only beaten by the NGDSM!.

Organik is the real game changer for me,you really do hear your 'old' music with new ears!...tracks I've heard have an xtra background layer which was missing before!.

I have now been caught out twice by Linn, after saving some money over time to upgrade my system I first I buy an Akurate Radikal (the Klimax was to steep at the time) only for the v2 upgrade to be announced two weeks later with no heads up from the dealer. Now I get an Akurate dsm to match the Akurate Radikal last month only to find out today the whole range has been thrown in the bin by Linn.

I am really pi##ed off. I know it is buyer beware and all that, but it makes me very wary of buying anything Linn again. They simply discard a whole section of people who have maybe saved money over time like me and supported them and brought their products in good faith expecting the Linn upgrade path a la the LP12 only to be told today you receive no support and are now sidelined with a cursory short afterthought of a paragraph in an email.

The Akurate level gear was a very popular choice for a lot of Linn owners.

I still have an Akurate Dynamik Chakra 4200 amp powering my speakers.

Indeed it’s a lot. But that is the top spec one. Going for the standard/classik casing, a stereo Organic DAC and a stereo line card you end up in half the price. Hmm,…

Selekt's arrival made a very prominent statement when it was introduced.

I don't think your Akurate gear has been 'binned' as you call it,it's still great equipment .

Bad timing and no heads up from your dealer is tough.

mabye you can get some eol Klimax gear now Organik has stirred the pot a wee bit?!

IMHO Linn took a non sense route (i.e. esoteric) since years (Exakt, no analogue amplifiers, crazy prices …).

Wait and see if Utopik will be available for Adsm and Radikal (at a sensible price …)

I can understand your frustration here. I'm not really in this ecosystem, and I don't know who your dealer is, but I am confident - and I have seen evidence to support this view - that my dealer would have made me aware of the situation as soon as he was able. So, maybe there's an element of "pot luck" here as to how responsive your dealer is to his/her customers (note to other threads in this channel).

Also, it shouldn't be forgotten that any equipment or system that you have recently acquired prior to this announcement hasn't got worse: it's still as good as it was when you acquired it.

Yeah the Exaktbox end is really annoying. And bizarre as there is no replacement. I wonder if it means the end for stand alone amps now? I was advised by my dealer recently not to get Katalyst for my AEB and wait for Organik. I didn't really believe it would come to AEB and I was right. Totally stuck now as I have no realistic way to upgrade my system. Also the resale value of my AEB just became close to zero.
