Good morning to all,

i own an arcam CDS50, used as a media server.

All files are saved in a Nas WD cloud ex2.

To control ARCAM i use ARCAM APP and another app call Music Life on my Ipad.

When i start an album reproduction, song's order is not right.

Songs are not reproducted by #  but by Title (in alphabetic order).

If i change the files name the problem is not solved (i think it don't look files name but title in file's propriety -see attachment).

How can i do to reproduct albums by # of songs without changing one by one all titles in file's propriety?

Thank you!

Sofia

Hi Sofia, can you check if there are any sorting options in the App? Maybe it is ignoring the number before the song title.

Also there may be a computer program that will do the (batch) numbering automatically.

Hi ... you can use a program like Foobar2000 to fix your tags and include the track number. Are the file names of the music files including the track number? Per essempio ... filename is "01. My Song.flac". I use this program to fix tags all the time and it works very well.

Sofia ... it just occurred to me, you can edit the file properties directly. Find the tag '#' ... in the properties (proprietà #) and type in the number directly. Do this with a few tracks to see if it works. If it does then you can use Foobar 2000 to do it all automatically.

Start here by reading this link ...

See if you can get your media library to show to start, then we can fix the problems.

If you in any way unsure about what to do, please make a  backup of your music files.

After the first part, to fix the tags you will need to read the section called MassTagging. I noticed your music is missing lots of other information like the artist name, the album name and so on. Some of these we can automatically fill in according to how you have named your folders and files.

Can you show a picture of your file structure to show the folders and the files.

For example is it organised something like this:

Artist / Album / Track 01, Track 02, ...

Where Artist is a folder, Album is a folder, Track 1 is your first song file in Album, etc.

Example:

The Beatles / The White Album / 01. Back in the USSR

... / .. / 02. Dear Prudence

... / .. / 03. Glass Onion

... / ... / etc.
