1x T/T
1x integrated amp
1x cassette deck
1x phonostage
1x power supply for phonostage
1x music streamer
1x power supply for streamer
1x DAC

8 boxes and clearly on a diet. And each component needs a cable.

Currently
- 2a3 amp output stage
- 2a3 amp output stage PSU
- 10Y driver stage with onboard PSU
- 10Y filament supply
- DAC
- DAC PSU

Only 6 currently. It's 7 when I use a 6C4C output instead of the 2a3, needs its own filament supply. But I can build in less/larger chassis.

I have a separate driver stage in my own system so I can rotate and develop different DHTs like 10Y, 2P29L, 26, 112A etc. All use a 1:3 step-up transformer on the input.

I have at last gone all-DHT, and the sound has gone up a level. No directly heated tubes in the signal path. Very different from commercial amps, very different. A different sound and much closer to my ideal.

At my peak (Linn tri-active system) I had 11 boxes plus TT and Speakers. Changed to Meridian and needed 2 boxes to go with the TT and Meridian speakers. Change of phono stage and adding streaming has increased the box count by 3!

Have you ever seen the massive boxes for martin logan summit x ? Bigger than coffins .i recall taking a large part of top sons bedroom wardrobes to store them . These huge speakers are great but what a pitb to store the boxes
