Its impossible to imagine that these were recorded 55 years ago. The sound is amazing.
Now I didn't know about this and I'm after them! I'm going to Rigoletto in Berlin this weekend so it's shopping time!DG SACD version of Beethoven/Karajan cycle is the SACD release of the 60's cycle..... that's why i didn't snap it up. i was hoping for the 70's cycle being released on SACD
