Connecting DAC

I have a setup of Anthem 710 and a classé 5300 running in 5.1 mode with Usher 8751 DMD fronts. I currently run all music and movies from my computer to the Anthem 710 and then unbalanced to the Classé amp. Now I am interested in buying a balanced dac to to play music from the computer, I am thinking of connecting the dac right into the balanced connections on the Classé skipping the Anthem since there is a switch between balanced and unbalanced on the front of the Classé amp. That way I only have to switch the audio settings on my computer to DAC instead of Anthem and press the switch to change modes on the amp in order to do Quality listening of music. my question is: Is there any danger having both connections hooked up at the same time to the amp?
