What's your favourite? LP or single, 12", whatever. Here's one of mine.  The monochrome simplicity,  the insouciant poses of the group, four brilliant young men who appear not to give a shit, haha, and what a record......One thing gets me though, the band name Buzzcocks 'with Howard Deveto', as if he's a guest?

As a child I found it unsettling to look at, and I still do. And yet it's mesmerising at the same time, like something I can't quite tear my gaze off of once I look into it

Anyone else? Come on, this is part of the reason why we own turntables!

La Saboteuse by Yazz Ahmed on Naim Records. This picture doesn't do the sleeve justice. It's an embossed, heavy cardboard, gatefold sleeve housing two LPs with a high quality booklet containing short biographies of all band members as well as the mixing engineer, mastering engineer, producer and illustrator (Sophie Bass)

Same for me... but I loved the updating of the theme for his 2018 Equinoxe Infinity... shame to music wasn't as good though...

Here's some of my fave jazz ones from my limited collection.  Donald Byrd - classic lp from 1975, more soul I guess. Understated, but I just like it.

Horace Silver, strange lp to say the least. Again, classic 70s hippy stuff about mind/body/soul etc, even has lyrics about what you should eat, fantastic music though.

Like the elegant text,  Silvers outfits and bowing poses on the back. The 'deep in thought' pose on the front reminds me of later Hip hop artists lp covers like Method man, where the rapper is often seen in a similar pose, pointing to their head or something.

this rear cover says I’m going to round up my mates, get in the studio and see what comes out.
