My friends father passed away recently and left some hifi gear which included a pair of home made cabinets that each housed a single Lowther PM6A drive unit.

Both drive units are in a good condition cosmetically but unfortunately one doesn't work. It reads 'open circuit' and not producing any sound . The other works /sound fine and measures 7.1ohms.

I have searched online including eBays' completed listings for used PM6A drive units and am struggling to narrow down a price for them. Do I sell them as a pair or sell them singly?

Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.

Solution
PM6A drivers seem to command silly prices, even ones that are open circuit. I would suggest selling them individually - of course stating that one is open circuit - and offer combined postage if both bought by the same person.

Are the foam surrounds in good nick? They do tend to perish after 10 years or so.

Thanks for your advice Tony. Thankfully both foam surrounds are intact and undamaged. I guess an eBay auction would then be the best route.

Many thanks again, very much appreciated.
I would personally put them on other sites and not eBay as there are a lot of crooks out there. I would list them for collection only based on my experience with buyers on the eBay site. They claim this and claim that when you post eBay always comes down on the side of the buyer no matter what.

I put them on eBay and did not get what I thought and Yes the buyer stated that the working one was damaged in transit and we agreed on a partial refund. Both went to the same buyer.
