I love my Benz LPS, pity it doesn't suit the arm on my main TT.

I loved my Benz, but it was bloody expensive to maintain, even at an independent specialist.

My favourite Benz was my W129. I did hear the Benz Wood at a dealer and it sounded stunning.

Loving mine as well in System 2 (401/RB250/PS in Cambridge C50).
Ace SH, picked up a couple of weeks back <50 hrs ex-dem, never had a Benz or an HO cart before.
Think I may treat myself to a Glider or something, once I sort which way I'm going with my main system.

I have a Benz Wood. It is a competent performer. In my rig I like to have as much hardwood as possible - think armboard, record stabiliser, headshell, and of course a cart with a wood body.

I have had a Benz Wood since 2014 & earlier this year I had it rebuilt & I've put 101 hours on it so and it is sounding really great.

The problem is I bought an Audio Technica Art-9xi MC cart too which right now is hogging the limelight cos it's going to the show on my Technics 1200G.

It has 157 hours on it atm and sounding stunning right now so the Benz is gonna have to wait for some more play time til after the Wam Show is over at least.

I do have high hopes for it though I listened to it for many years & quite a few wammers bought one after hearing it at my bake offs over the years.

The Glider and wood variants are really one of the same bar the weight etc. having the option of a 0.4mV and a 0.8mV variant is great to optimise with your phonostage. I’ve found that both the Wood and Glider excel at around 220 ohms

Been in the Benz world for a number of years . This synergy is out performing some vinyl rigs I’ve had by quite a margin and they were more expensive.

I’m waiting on an amplifier being built for me, so system on hold... I never put covers on cartridges or turntables..

Well so far so good got some hours on it now so almost run in but my Art9 xi is taking centre stage at the moment for the show.

I am very happy with it how it sounds and there is more to come I hope. Tbh I'll be chuffed to bits if it sounds like it did first time around.
