My friend has just purchased a new I-Phone 14 and the pictures are stunning, especially in low light or high contrast settings. I not to keen to spend £800 + , on a phone, is there another camera or phone which would give similar performance. I would prefer something phone size.

Probably not the best place to ask this as everyone in this forum is a camera nut , I did sell all my cameras and use an iphone12 so good are the results .
However I have just bought another camera (bit more expensive than my phone )
Took these two photos today , iPhone and camera , one better than the other ?

iPhone :) , the iPhone always does a decent shot , a camera leaves a lot to the operator .
Those two photos were taken right after one another , the iPhone shot is not natural it was taken in the shade , but it's compensates .

I decided to bite the bullet and get the iphone 14. In the past I have used SLR, DSLR, Bridge, Separate Lens etc, but getting older and less mobility I want to carry less stuff around. In the past I was also asked to stop taking photos as my Camera was too professional looking , but a point and shoot or phone was ok. One event was an outdoor concert and the other was a cathedral.
