Hi

Does anyone here use Langrex pre amp valves in their stereo amplifiers? I have a 40 watt push pull stereo integrated amplifier which uses 4 x EL34 power valves (Tung Sol EL34B) and 2 x 12ax7 pre amp valves (also Tung Sol) and 2 x Langrex 12bh7 (in place of Tung Sol 12au7 used before). The Langrex valves are much cheaper than other brands and made in the UK as far as I am aware. Opinions?

Langrex are a good company - good people. They do lots of NOS but I guess you're talking about their own brand? No actual experience but I do trust the lads there to give value for money.

As far as I am aware, Langrex have only ever rebadged other manufacturers valves. I think you would be taking pot-luck as to the actual manufacturer. Nice people though!

Phone Langrex up and ask who made them, they are a friendly bunch.
