FYI, the Hiraga circuit was made available to DIY builders. You could make this amp for yourself for less than the current eBay bid. Sourcing some of the obsolete semiconductors might require some effort.

Hiraga never manufactured the amp, instead releasing his circuit design to the public. There have been a few versions of the basic concept, this particular unit, made for me by a talented French amp builder, adheres strongly to his compatriot's prescriptive model, only making upgrades to even higher quality contemporary devices where possible."

So it is an amateur made amp! Who made it?

It's certainly not old judging by the binding posts and it even says it is a recent build in the listing text.

Why not make one yourself or get a similar talented French amp builder to make one for you?
