I have a large number of rare European radio valves for sale. Triodes with a gain of around 30, so very interesting as drivers for an output stage. The REN904 is well-known and coveted but I have several drop-in replacements. There are some very good sounding valves with the grid on a top cap - perfectly safe to use. These include AC2, CC2 and TDD4. I will be selling everything, so PM me to discuss deals.

Anybody interested in a few as-new but non-esoteric ECC83/12AX7 valves?

I have 3 x PSVane ECC83 which came with an EAR834P clone that arrived a couple of weeks ago. Used only to initially try out the phono stage and all good but then removed, so they are essentially as new. I was actually quite surprised how good these sounded. £30 for all three + postage.


I also have 3 x Golden Dragon E83CC 12AX7A bought last month from PM Components as an alternative to the above, which were as above installed and left switched on for 3-4 hours to check function but then removed. Nice sounding valves, and again, as new. I paid £17 each for them so how about £35 for all three + postage.

Alternatively, I'd happily consider a swap for NOS or used ECC83 or ECC82 valves you might have knocking around.

I saw this on DIY Audio. Looks like some nice valves that guys here collect and very good prices. He has a bunch of commonly used EH valves for instance. I'm tempted by 6x JJ GZ34 at €12 each - can't argue with that.
