Says the Berlingo owner. If you actually had a bike Rudy, we might take you seriously.

Most sports-bike riders are unskilled numbskulls who wouldn't know what to do with 60 bhp let alone 150 - they are more interested in showing off down the pub than riding.

Virtual pub (and virtual bike) in your case, Rudy.

mennin for 20 years bikes were the only thing that mattered in my life... i used to rebuild them for mates and tune them up... i know my onions i can asure you..

and matt you've never ridden a bike mate so please comment just on cars. we usrd to go out every weekend just riding through the lanes... there is very few bikes appart from the last 2 years that i haven't riden... the wheelie king they used to call me.. nothing better than pulling the front wheel up in 3rd without a clutch(150bhp genuine power needed).. and then going for miles on the back wheel... after 176 bhp whichmy gixxer thou had nothing else will do.. everything i ride now feels guttless. i bought a 600 hornet brand new from england when we emmigrated now these bikes have 100bhp...i only rode it twice... what a gutless piece of shit that bike was..

oh i bought it thinking i could make a profit but road registering it here was a fucking nightmare.... lost 200 quid on it in the end.

i'll get another bike someday... maybe a 600 endro bike just for fucking about on the fields we have all around us...

mennin mate you'd fit in well here harleys are by far the most popular bikes here. super bikes are rare because the insurance on those is ridiculous..i had a quote on a zx12r they wanted 2k fully comp.

i paid 300 quid fully comp on gixer thou...

Why should I stick to cars, I know nothing about them either according to you

So you cant see the logic I'm talking about? 150bhp through the 2 front wheels of a 1 ton car, and the 150+bhp through the contact patch as a credit card on a 200kg bike (or whatever them plastic fantastics weigh)

Yeah, sounds like you really know your onions.......

two words torque steer it's a fucking nightmare with a silly front wheel drive car.

how many front wheel drive cars do ferrari, lambrogini, bmw, aston martin,, ect make?

NONE because it's muppetry on any sports car...

saab turbo's in the wet are fucking dangerous, the power must be at the rear..

but it's cheaper and easier for manufacutes to just send the power to the front and it's class a muppetry on all but one car the original mini....because it's so light it works .

we're just going round in circles matt mate get yourself a super bike you know you want one...

stop messing with chavs cars and either get a super bike or buy A PROPER REAR WHEEL DRIVE CAR with a proper engine... puny 2 liter turbos( that last a week)with no torque don't count i'm affraid......

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/67512/fastest_supra_in_the_world/

do you think a escort cossie can do that?...... er no..

as i said earlier 1000bnp plus is where the goal post is today

thats why rudi's getting a corvette.. it's possible with the money and time to get it...

just have to wait till my mum leaves me her house in spain and england then it will be done.

you must agree that supra is fucking awesome.

bet it cost 50k just on engine work to get that performance... it would blitz a super bike with ease...

not a turbo busa though.

WTF is the point of spending 50K on a pile of ancient jap crap, to make it drive up a strip? It's probably incapable of going round a bend, is that Motorsport? Sheer muppetry.

Try a DC2 Integra Type-R and see if you still think FWD sports cars don't handle and suffer from terrible torque steer. I've left TVRs, Lotus and Porsches for dead around Silverstone and Bedford Autodrome.

Rudy doesn't let reality interfere with his pre-conceived notions about cars and bikes, which he gets entirely from playing Top Trumps.

The Supra, like the 'vette, is such a very Essex choice. :lmao:

If we had a thread on which van should Postman Pat get next, Rudy would be ideally placed to make an informed contribution....

So true. Sadly it would be his first worth-while and indeed, in any way accurate, contribution to the forum.

:(cheers for that.
no it's not.

have you lived in essex mennin.?. i did for 40 years and no one i knew ever owned a corvette.... supra yea but no corvette...

i wouldn't have a supra but my point is matt thinks fords are the buisness and i'm just pointing it out to him they're not.. quite the opposite in fact... of all the fords i have ever owned and driven not one was any good in any way... in fact probably the worst cars i have ever driven..

The whole bike v car thing is starting to wear a bit thin now,it's just better to accept that they are two different animals with their own pro's and cons.Fwiw my 2005 R1 now has a healthy 158bhp at it's rear wheel(with just road legal cans and re-map)but it wasn't the top end i had the mods done for, just a bit more mid-range drive while keeping it as road-legal as possible.

It's true that a lot of sportsbike riders go around like lunatics but i've seen quite a few riders on other types take a few more risks than is reasonably necessary and some drivers of high performance cars are not exactly the cleverest drivers either. In fact ive seen two cases of muppet drivers in sports cars in the last week(a TVR and a Lotus)but to balance that i had a nutter on an old Fireblade fly past a huge row of slow moving traffic at silly a speed,so every category of vehicles have their nutcases.
