Hold on. Is someone saying they can perceive sound differently down to the millisecond.

Because that snare just sounds awful with the tweeter 58cm , but 70cm is just perfect

I can achieve PRaT through setting my threshold, ratio, attack and release with a compressor.

A damping factor of an amplifier may have something to do with PRaT?, or speakers matched with amp?. As a music producer I knw for sure Compressors are used to give an immediacy to the sound or otherwise depending on settings of the attack and release.

Now whether same can be achieved designing an amplifier(hardware only) I'm not sure. I suppose with a lot of software based hifi these days PRaT may be possible?

Oh... Come to think of it hardware compressors were the norm before any software compressors were even dreamt about. If so may be possible when designing an amplifier. Just all guess work here.
