False.

Nothing can be worse than a carpet whose wool comes from Naim sheep.

i can't think of a single record on the planet worse than that carpet. well maybe, it's the yoko ono of the carpet world. dave i'm a parquet floor layer fly me over for the week and i'll do you a nice french oak herringbone floor about £120m2. and you could flog that carpet on the antiques roadshow!

and you might have some nice floorboards under that rancid carpet dave, which will sand up nicely.

False. Those carpets are rancid (my Landlord has the all-brown version - v. Tonedef-friendly!)

True, Soiled's taste is a bit camp, but there are worse things (Westlife, Cliff Richard, Billy Ray Cyrus, etc.)

It is a fine carpet. Yes, it does scream "look at me, I am a carpet" but why shouldn't it?

I think it looks quite medieval and tapestry-esque.

solidstateman likes Andrew Lloyd Weber and Kenny Loggins, doesn't he?

Faced with a choice of the two, I'd take the carpet.

Solid can redeem himself because some of his contempory choices are quite good ( Sade, Sheryl Crow) but Dave nothing can redeem that carpet. I wonder what was the exact lightbulb moment when you actually thought it was a good idea to purchase it.

That reminds me. I must never let the rest of you conservative geeks see the interior of my listening room lest my reputation here for excellent taste will fall into contention.
