Powering Quad 34/306

Just acquired a Quad 34 to go with my 306. What is the general consensus on the power out facility?

I'm a bit short of sockets for another mains cable, so from that point of view it would make sense.

If so, which way? Power fro 34 to 306 or from 306 to 34?

As for what to what, If you think it might matter, you're in the ideal position to try it for yourself.

I would give it a try - the preamp draws very little current so take the mains feed out for the power amp.  Costs you very little to try so try it and see what your ears think

My 34 powers my 405 very happily which probably draws more power than your 306 so no problem, it was designed to do it.

I wish they put them on modern amps.  I used it on my 34 very happily.
