REVOX B285 RECEIVER

This Receiver was great in its day but developed a power input fault which I can’t be arsed to get fixed as I’ve got too much kit
I don’t know what is exactly wrong with it ,, it maybe an easy fix , maybe not .. Obviously it is of an age that replacement parts would be difficult to source ..Anyway it’s free if anyone wants to give it a go .. Collection would be preferred from J26 of the M1. I could box it up and courier it at your cost or alternatively take it to the WAM show for pick up

Agreed.

They are very nice to work on, being of a kind of modular construction. The main repair on this one was nice and easy, she is now living again but not quite back to full health. After intially repairing the power supplly distribution board I treated it to a re-cap, switching out somewhere in the order 70 old electrolytic caps. She now lights up and plays but not much in the way of volume, which I’ll need to try and work out next!
