As new, see photos. £220 including shipping, typical price £299, selling for what I paid. Collection from near Melton Mowbray or by arrangement from Kendal or I may be able to drop off en route between the two. If they don't find a new home with a lovely wammer, I'll list on the 'bay next time there's a £1 valuation fee offer.

These are the Massdrop version of the superb HD650 and are technically and sonically identical in all respects except they are badged HD6xx and sold via Massdrop, a sort of bulk purchase thing. If you can find even a decent used pair of the HD650 you'll see the paint chipped easily on them - this has been sorted on the HD6xx.

I've been a Grado man for years and always fancied a pair of these based on looks and the love people feel for them, with many preferring them to the HD800/S. I bought them earlier this year, demoed for ten mins and they sound excellent but I prefer the feel of my on-ear Grados. Grab a bargain as they say.

Sorry, I'm not sure that works for me. I have no issue with the sound of the HD650/HD6xx which, although heard briefly, is just what I expected from reviews; it's the over ear cup design which appears to be identical on both models and which for me doesn't quite work. If it was a sound thing, I'd be up for swapsies.

I think I should hold out for a sale which gives me cash to spend either on Grados or elsewhere in my system.
