Thanks for the reminder. I saw them twice and both gigs ended in a riot - at County Hall , London skinheads invaded the stage . In Newport , Moz was dragged into the crowd , grazed his elbow and stormed off the stage.

Will give it a spin tonight .

Fuck it The Smiths were/are brilliant. NME this week has a big write up on The Queen is dead , plus a comp to win The Smiths and Morrisey back catalogue.

Strangeways here we come is my favourite album and This charming man my favourite single. In fact, I find it hard to think of a better 2 minutes 41 seconds of music.

Oh and Sheila take a bow offa that there Louder than bombs is another corker.

The queen is dead is ok. But far from their best work IMO. Rank is probably the most "Smiths" album. You can feel the crowd and Morrsiy/Marr all cumming at the same time.

I bought Morrisey's latest solo offering and was a bit disappointed. SHould have bought You Are the Quarry, instead. The latest on is bit bland, nothing about the bomb bringing us together.

This is possibly my favourite album. Definately one for the thread on albums without a duff track on them. I think I enjoy every track on here.
